The official Windrush Scheme actually covers:
- 1. Commonwealth Arrivals (Pre-1973): Anyone from any Commonwealth nation who arrived and settled in the UK before 1st January 1973 (including arrivals from India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana, Bangladesh, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, and many others).
- 2. Global Arrivals (Pre-1988): Anyone from ANY country in the world who arrived and settled in the UK before 31st December 1988.
- 3. Children and Grandchildren: If your parents or grandparents settled in the UK during these periods, you may also be eligible to claim.
- 4. Deceased Estates: Close family members can claim on behalf of a relative who has passed away if they suffered hardship during their lifetime due to lack of documentation.
