On Thursday 24th September 2026, the training suite on the 8th floor of St James's House in Salford was filled with pride, celebration, and inspiring determination as Connect Talent CIO, in proud partnership with The Growth Company, hosted the Essential Digital Skills Graduation & Employability Event.
The event brought together adult learners, families, community partners, and employment mentors to honour graduating students who completed their foundational digital skills training. Alongside the formal celebrations, attendees benefited from a hands-on, one-to-one Career Clinic offering practical guidance, CV tailoring, and direct job application support.
10:30 AM: Celebrating Learner Dedication & Milestone Achievements
During the ceremony, graduates were awarded Certificates of Completion in recognition of their mastery across key areas of modern computing:

Special guest speakers delivered heartfelt words of encouragement to the graduates. Nosheela Rashid from Salford CVS (Wellbeing Matters) commended the graduates on their dedication to personal growth and digital connectivity. Kavaljit Kaur from Salford City Council (Community Health Development) celebrated the learners' milestones and praised the life-changing power of digital skills. Nichola Houghton representing The Growth Company (Working Well) and leaders from Connect Talent CIO further commended the cohort's mutual support, wishing them continued success into employment and community leadership.
